This book was fantastic. This book was classic Meader storyline. I really enjoyed both Lauren and Alexei. The first few pages are bouncing back and forth between past and present day.
Present day Lauren comes face to face with the fact that she has a husband. I thought the storyline moved around nicely. Reading about Alexei and his personal sacrifices was so heartbreaking. I thought the author handled the topic with sensitivity. Who doesn't love a hero that his dedicated to his father.
I really enjoyed Lauren and her drive... My little concern is her use of alcohol as a coping mechanism. Especially for an adult nearing her 40's... I kep thinking Lauren is going to need some AA in the future.
But aside from that once I started the book I could not put it down. I was so happy that I could get an ARC when school has ended. This is one of my favorite reads this year.

I was really excited about this book...but it felt very disorganized and a half done book. There was not written about certain things happening and then very detailed descriptions of what seemed to be nothing....He writes about his love and admiration for his mom and then she slaps him or punches him... There is a lot of domestic abuse but it was so all over the place it was hard to really get a feel and understanding for this book...:( This is more like scattered short stories/ prose then a novel/ memoir. I am moving on...

Ahh... so good. These books make my soul happy. I liked the setting of the story so much...I want to see this beautiful farm with my own eyes. Aiden and Ellie were a fun couple. I am counting down....stalking at this point-when Maria and Jesse's book is coming out. I was absolutely hooked with their banter... not to mention Charlie and Sawyer... their book is not even in Goodreads yet... all good things come to those that wait. What a fantastic start to a series. So exciting.🍎🍎

SO good! Thank you to the publisher for a copy.
1) Cover-how gorgeous. I miss these beautiful covers. Just absolutley gorgeous.
2) I miss these romance novels! The ones where both the hero/ heroine make you shake you head... But nonetheless keep rooting for the couple.
3) Once I started reading this story I could not stop. SO fun and exciting. I loved the characters and the tension between two people who could not make it work...
4) What a perfect way to kick off summer!
